摘要
海外印度人的普遍成功不仅使海外印度人的国际地位和国际影响力不断得到提升,而且也对印度的崛起产生了非常积极的影响。在政治和外交上,海外印度人能促进印度与其所在国的关系;在经济上,海外印度人能拉动印度经济的发展;在文化上,海外印度人是印度文化的有力宣传者和传播者;在形象塑造上,海外印度人吃苦耐劳和勤奋拼搏的精神有助于树立印度良好的国际形象。由于海外印度人对印度的崛起有着如此重要的作用,印度政府逐渐改变了以往对海外印度人的冷淡态度,转而对其采取了一种比较友好的政策。
The success of overseas Indians not only gives rise to the improvement of their international position and influence but also has a very positive influence on the rise of India. In politics and diplomacy,overseas Indians can enhance the relationship between India and the host countries. In economy,they can promote the economic development of India. In culture,they are the powerful advocates of Indian culture. In image building,hardworking and diligent overseas Indians contribute to the shaping of a good international image of India. Due to such great role of overseas Indians in the rise of India,Indian government has adopted friendly policy towards them instead of the formerly indifferent attitudes.
