Architecture and Fashion──Enlightenment from Architecture in Anhui Province

本文在肯定和赞扬安徽及其省会城市合肥近年来在规划设计、城市建设及建筑创作方面所取得成绩的 同时，着重对其受时尚主义影响的八种建筑倾向——所谓“高”、“大”、“新”、“美”、“物”、“利”、“快”、“变”—— 提出了辩证分析和利弊评说，并提出了“淡化时尚，走有中国地域特色创作道路”的观点。

After giving a positive evaluation of Anhui and its capital Hefei's achievement in planning, design, urban construction and architectural creation, the paper analyses eight architectural trends, namely,' height', 'large', 'new', 'beautiful', 'material', 'profit', 'speed', and 'change' and points out their advantages and disadvantages. It argues that China should 'underplay fashion and find a creative road befitting its own charac- teristics.
