After almost fifteen years of design and construction, the Getty Center, the project which is called the 'commission of the century' and designed by Richard Meier, is ready for the public. While this new project on a hill clearly represents the authority of a singular architectural vocabulary with its site plan, space utilization, appearance and high quality of light and materials. Everything is so perfectly detailed that it embodies plentiful meanings and various methods of expression in modern movements. Meier has created the Mount Athos of art in the area of Los Angeles.
