The phase Ⅰ of the 10-Mt/a refining project at SINOPEC Qingdao Refining and Chemical Company （QRCC）, Ltd. is the first in China single-series 10-million-ton-class refining project approved by the State. The phase Ⅰ project was started up in June 2008 and the construction of the phase Ⅱ project has been put on the agenda, and after completion of construction of the phase Ⅱ project the crude processing capacity at QRCC will reach 20 Mt/a.
