The arrival of mixed xylene cargo has incarnated a timing for commissioning the 700 kt/a paraxylene （PX） project. The investment in this PX project totals 4.5 billion RMB. The mechanical completion of this project was realized in October 2008, and the pre-commissioning of this unit was initiated in December 2008. The commercial operation of this unit is slated for the first half of 2009 （most probably in April 2009 as the earliest date）. This project is also the largest in China single-series aromatics project.
