摘要
小泛素样修饰物(SUMO)能与目标蛋白产生共价连接,调节靶蛋白的活性,从而改变其在细胞内的功能。SUMO与肿瘤的发生、发展和转移密切相关。多种癌蛋白、肿瘤抑制子、DNA修复蛋白和周期蛋白都是SUMO的靶蛋白,SUMO系统中的某些酶在肿瘤中的表达也可能发生相应改变。现就与肿瘤相关的SUMO研究进展作一综述。
Small ubiquitin-like modifiers (SUMO) are ubiquitin-related proteins that can be covalently conjugated to cellular target proteins. Frequently, this modification has a key role in regulating the activities of those targets and, hence, their cellular functions. Researches show that some oncoproteins, tumor suppressors, DNA repair proteins and cyclins are target proteins of SUMO modification and the al- tered expression of some enzymes related to SUMO conjugation occurs in some neoplasm. It is indicated that sumoylation is important in tumor origination, development and metastasis.
