时间的空间隐喻对汉语母语者时间认知的影响 被引量:47

The effects of spatial metaphoric representation of time on time cognition

摘要 本文通过两个实验探讨了汉语母语者时间的空间隐喻对时间认知的影响。实验1表明,表达空间关系的句子与表达时间关系的句子一样,对时间关系的加工有促进作用。实验2表明,水平和竖直两种空间关系都对汉语受试有促进作用,但竖直空间关系的促进效果更强,用汉英两种实验材料得出的结果相同。据此我们认为,汉语母语者更倾向于对时间作竖直方向的隐喻。 This paper examined the effects of spatial metaphoric representation of time on time cognition through two experiments. Experiment 1 showed that spatial relational information was just as useful for thinking about time as temporal information in answering questions about time. Experiment 2 showed that Chinese students conceived time both vertically and horizontally,but had showed they biased towards conceiving time vertically,both English and Chinese experiment materials had the same results.
