Liu Ke＇s five poetical works on literary words, come from a reflection upon his own practice of Avant-garde for a long time, build up a very precise and strong poetical system. The Discourse of Artifwes of the Modern Fictions is the successful original composition on poetics of words in modem Chinese literature. The Discourse of Artifices of the Avant-garde Fictions for the first time, provides an integrated experiencing and speculative theoretical framework for the Avant-garde Fictions. The Poetics of Word studies poetics based on words, is the frist systematic poetical work in China which studies the key words by means of discourse and poetic description, and is the first writing of poetics of words. Er .ling is a collection of his recent fictions, proses and theory works, which shows that Liu Ke is a man wandering between image experience and theoretical degenerateness. The five poetical works are the original modem poetical works of China.
