For Buddhists and non-followers who know about the most famous Buddhist pilgrimage destinations in China, Mount Wutai, in northern China＇s Shanxi Province, is a must visit. Of the temples situated in Taihuai, a town near the tourist mecca of Mount Wutai, Pushou Temple＇s Women Buddhists＇ Institute is special. The temple focuses on training Buddhist nuns on Buddhist wisdom and believers＇ manners rather than receiving visitors from around the world. To provide a quiet living environment for the nuns, Pushou Temple is not open to tourists. As a result, life inside -- how the nuns live, study and adhere to the concepts promoted by the institute＇s principal- is a mystery. However, reporters from Women of China were allowed to visit Pushou Temple in early June. Through this article, and the accompanying photos, we will detail life inside the temple.
