Urban Rejuvenation under Functional Replacement:Three Patterns of Remodeling Courtyard in Berlin

以柏林内城更新中的庭院改造为切入点,通过案例总结了以商业、文化和新式办公为主题的3种改造模式,从物质空间变化及功能布局更替两方面分析半私密的庭院转化为城市公共空间的过程,论证功能置换的改造策略在城市更新中所起到的文脉保护与活力提升的双重作用,并强调"延续城市发展脉络"和"在使用中保护"的观念在老建筑再利用中的重要性。

Starting from the topic of remodeling courtyard during the renewal of the inner city in Berlin, this paper summarizes three kinds of remodeling pattern separately on commercial building, cultural building and new type office. In aspects of the change of substantial space and replacement of functional layout, it makes analysis of the remodeling course turning from half-private courtyard to urban public space, expounds that the remodeling tactics for function replacement will exert a dual influence on ＂context protection＂ and ＂raising vitality＂ in urban renewal, and emphasizes that the ideas of ＂continuing urban context＂ and ＂protecting in use＂ are of significance in reuse of the old building.
