The Harmonious Development of the Mineral Resources and Environment

本文概述了我国的资源现状，以及人类生活和生产引起的滑坡、崩塌、地裂缝、地面沉降、海水入侵、水土流失、洪涝灾害、水体污染等环境地质灾害，进而探讨了资源、环境与人口间的关系，提出了可持续发展的若干建议：提高对资源有限性的认识；树立保护环境、防止污染的意识；加强计划生育，控制人口增长；全民动员，美化生存环境。

The paper discusses briefly the present state for mineral resources of our country, the life and production of mankind resulted in various environmental and geologicalcalamity, such as landslip, slacktip, fracture, ground subsidence, sea water encroachment,loss of water and erosion of soil, flood and water logging, water resources pollution andetc, and explores further relations among the mineral resources, environment and population, and makes a number of suggestions of continued development: the limitation of deepening one's understanding of that mineral resources;acquiring a consciousness of protecting the environment against pollution; strengthening birth control; generally mobilizing thenation and beautifying the environment.
