Packets＇s capture is the basis of analyzing the message, as the key to network monitoring technology, has been widely used in distributed real-time control systems, network fault analysis, intrusion detection systems, network monitoring systems, comput- er forensics and other areas of the system. This article summarizes the traditional Packet Capture technology and the latest develop- ment, comparative study of a variety of different technologies, given the conclusions of analysis.
