The Systematic Conceptions of Language Resources by Linguists of the New Era

进入新世纪以来,国家语言文字管理部门及语言文字工作者日益重视我国语言资源的开发、利用与保护工作,学者及公民的语言资源意识与观念也不断增强。在新的时代背景下,应树立科学的语言资源观,以期对语言的资源价值有一个具体而多方位的认知与理解:语言不仅是语言和语言学的资源,它还是一种特殊的生态资源,一种特殊的文化资源,一种社会经济资源,一种政治与外交资源。

In the new century, our national administrative departments and experts of languages have attached greater importance to the development, exploitation and protection of language resources, and the citizens＂ consciousness of language resources is thus strengthened. Based on the previous related studies, this paper attempts to put forward a new systematic concept of language resources, languages are not only resources of linguistics, but also resources of ecology, culture, economy, and politics and diplomacy.
