On the basis of the analysis of the background on which the Chinese characteristic theoretical system came into being,and the opportunity and challenge of both Chinese and the world socialism,the paper elaborates that to insist and develop the Chinese characteristic socialist theoretical system, it＇s necessary for us to hold to the following believes as emancipating mind, seeking truth from facts, keeping pace with the times, studying on the laws of Chinese Communist Party ruling, constructing socialism, and the law of human development, focus on settling the problems and contradictions at the critical stages in the reform of Chinese socialism.
