The basic principle of correspondence analysis was introduced. The relation between the content of trace elements and the efficacy of 7 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines was analyzed by the correspondence analysis. The result shows that correspondence analysis can open out the relation between the efficacy of 7 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines and the trace elements content that they contain. The result shows that correspondence analysis is a good method for the Chinese herbal medicine efficacy analysis.
