Dance education, being an important part of aesthetic education and comprehensive quality education, has played an important role in higher education. The essay deals with major problems concerning significance, functions as well as implementation of dance education in general colleges and universities, followed which suggestions are offered in terms of form, content, methods of developing dance education in general institutes of higher learning.
