华人传统音乐是中国传统音乐的重要分支,也是其所在国音乐文化的一个重要组成部分。它的形成与当地华人移民及其华人社会的发展有着直接的关系。东南亚地区是中国移民最早和最多的地区,其华人音乐文化有着悠久的历史和丰富的内容。本文将以马来西亚为例,对东南亚华人音乐的形成与来源进行梳理和总结。

Overseas Chinese traditional music is an important part of Chinese traditional music, also an important part of the musical culture of that country. Its formation is elosely related to the immigration of Chinese into that country and the growth of the Chinese community. Southeast Asia is the earliest and most migrated region for Chinese immigrants and the overseas Chinese music there has a long history and rich content. This paper tires to explore and sum up the formation and origin of overseas Chinese music in Southeast Asia.
