The paper had an analysis and study on the installation and application of the DDD8J electric monorail crane to the mining gate- ways of the coal mining face. The paper had a brief state and analysis on the new innovation and the social and economic benefits during the application period. The application showed that the crane was small in the volume and light on the weight, the crane could fully utilize the gateway space, could be easy in installation and operation and could be convenient in maintenance. The crane could improve the trans- portation rate, reduce the labor intensity and could be highly reduce the transportation accident.
