Economic Analysis of Maintaining Growth with Domestic Demand as the Major Prompt

改革开放以来,出口导向型外贸战略对我国的经济增长发挥了十分重要的作用,但是,这一增长模式固有的诸如引起宏观经济外部失调、导致产业结构不合理和国内利益分配不均衡以及加剧国际贸易摩擦等缺陷,影响了经济的可持续发展。在国际金融危机的大背景下,出口导向型增长模式举步维艰;另外,我国也长期存在投资过度、投资结构不合理等问题,继续通过扩大投资拉动经济增长的空间十分有限。因此,为了保持国民经济又好又快地增长,实行内需主导型经济发展战略,扩大国内需求尤其是扩大居民消费需求将成为我国宏观经济政策的理性选择。

Since the implementation of the reform and open-up policies, the export-oriented foreign trade strategy has made important contribution to China＇s economic growth. However, this economic growth mode has its own inherent defects which has led to such problems like external imbalance in terms of macro-economy, irrational industrial structure, unfair distribution of benefits at home, and increased attrition in international trade. Consequently, sustainable economic growth is at stake. Under the circumstances of international financial crisis, the economic growth mode that relies on export becomes hard to function. Meanwhile, the long existing problems of over-investment, imbalanced investment structure and so on make it difficult to continue to promote economic growth by means of increasing investment. Therefore, adopting the economic development strategy of raising domestic demand, especially raising the consumer needs, may be a rational macroeconomic strategy to maintain rapid development of our national economy.
