出版物的价值和效益评价辨析--兼评“两个效益”重大命题

An Analysis of the Value and Effectiveness Evaluation of Publications——With a Differentiation of Major Proposition of "Two Benefits"

如何评价包括出版物在内的精神文化产品的价值及其效益,既是一个紧迫的现实问题,也是一个世界性的理论难题。目前流行的"在坚持社会效益第一的前提下,实现经济效益与社会效益的统一"的重大命题值得质疑,因为经济效益与社会效益不构成一对矛盾,在出版物中能够构成矛盾的是文化价值与经济价值、社会效益与个体效益。我们应该改变"把社会效益放在首位,做到经济效益与社会效益相统一"的提法,代之以没有内在逻辑矛盾的"把文化价值放在首位,把文化价值与经济价值有机结合起来;在坚持社会效益的前提下,实现社会效益与个体效益的统一"的提法。

At present, it is not only an urgent practical issue, but also a world-wide theoretical problem as how to evaluate the value and effectiveness of spiritual and cultural products including publications. This article challenges the major proposition ＂unify the social and individual efficiency in the precondition of adhering to social benefits＂, which is popular nowadays. The economic benefits do not necessarily contradict with social benefits. In publications, economic values and cultural values could pose a contradiction. Meanwhile, the social benefits also conflict with the individual benefits. We should replace the phrase ＂put social benefits in the first place to ensure the integrated economic and social benefits＂ with ＂give top priority to cultural values, make sure the organic integration of eco- nomic and cultural values and unify the social and individual efficiency in the precondition of adhering to social benefits＂ because there is no inherent logical contradiction in the latter one.
