This Paper carries out a study to the industrial development inUrumuqi. On basis of analysis on the present characteristics of in-dustry in Urumuqi and its problems, the paper proposes that furth-er development of industry should take aim at economical efficiency,formulate and carry out rational industrial policies, and perfectits industrial structure and local allocation.
