摘要
英语是一种以形合为主的语言,汉语则是一种以意合为主的语言。英汉语篇中省略现象十分常见。从形合和意合角度对比英汉两种语言中的名词性省略、动词性省略和小句性省略,以求更好地了解英汉两种语言的特点。
English is a hypotaxis-oriented language, while Chinese is a parataxis-oriented one. Ellipsis is very common in both English and Chinese texts tween the English and Chinese ellipsis in nouns, verbs This paper is intended to make a contrast beand clauses. The purpose is for us to have a better understanding of the language features both in English and Chinese.
