在全球发达同家及部分发展中国家电信市场日趋饱和的今天,各国运营商都把海外市场作为一个重要的增长点。非洲作为新兴市场的代表,已经成为西欧等发达地区电信运营商的主要拓展目标。近期,工业和信息化部电信研究院通信信息研究所对全球电信业新兴市场发展状况进行了跟踪研究,并推出《国外电信运营商竞争战略监测》,本刊特邀请该项目相关研究人员撰写了有关非洲市场可进入性的分析。
Africa not only has beautiful tropical scenery and mysterious landscape of the humanities, but also is a emerging market with huge potential. Especially when the telecom markets in developed countries and some developing countries have become more and more saturated, Africa has become the main target for expansion of telecom operators in Western European and other developed areas. On May 2009, AT&T planed to expand services to African market in cooperation with South Africa operator Telkom, to provide outsourcing services to multinational companies in Africa at the same level as in other areas. South Africa subsidiary of Vodafone Group, Vodacom also said that the group was seeking expansion in Africa via M&A, with Vodacom as a gateway. The competition in African mobile communication market has become more and more intensified. Aimed at the highlight of overseas operators' competitive strategies, Teleinfo of CATR, MIIT has released Watch on Competitive Strategies of Overseas Telecom Operators. In this article, we invited the expert to analyze the possibility of entering African market. This article deeply analyzed the development characteristics, sector environment, entrance strategy and demand of African telecom market, and pointed out that operators for 'gold mining' in Africa need to adopt appropriate strategies and carry out them wisely.
