摘要
In order to acquire the latest total number of peasant workers and their situation of leaving and returning home, the National Bureau of Statistics of China grasped the chance when the peasant workers returned home to celebrate the spring festival, and undertook a massive-scale sampling survey in 68,000 rural households in 7,100 villages in 857 counties in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions around the country. The major results are as follows：
