Although global history has produced an important impact on the international history, there are also a number of limitations. The global history is not a mature methodology, comparing it with the guiding ideology of historical research -historical materialism is not proper. The research methods of the world history is necessary to learn from some of the global history scholars' methodologies, but the global history can not replace the world history. The western civilization is both an astonishing creativity, and a destructive civilization. Its achievements and disasters are some "affect the world overall, with historical significance, influence the course of the world history". During the compilation of the world history, the usage of the scientific development view focuses on the objective existence of these facts by no means "western pan - modernity".
