OUTLINE/The Royal Opera's new production of Lulu,their first in 26 years,provided an incredibly unbalanced evening of entertainment. At the premiere the orchestra and conductor were on fine form;the singing and acting were generally quite strong,even if some of the characterizations were not entirely resolved.The staging,however,was another matter entirely.
