我的父亲戴自俺，1909年出生在贵州，一个小山村。1927年夏与五个志同道合的同学一起走出家乡求学。“地无三里平”的贵州，那时连中原大地早在y殷商时代便有的马车也还没有，自然谈不上公路。

OUTLINE/The author's father was born in a small village. When he was admitted at the Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School established by Professor Tao Xingzhi,he learned about and practiced Tao's educational ideologies. He could also chronicle Tao's practical teaching.
