"校长是大学的灵魂",这并非一个实然命题。大学校长的理念与大学理念之间并不直通。大学校长的特征及其作用使其与政府官员十分不同,因而任职条件也很不一样。
＂President is the soul of a university＂ is not a certain proposition.The notion of university president is not identical to that of university.The specific features and effects of a university president are quite different from those of a government official,so their conditions are not the same.
