Scrat is still trying to nab （抓住） the nut, Manny and Elle await the birth of their baby. Diego, the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he＇s growing too ＂soft＂. Sid gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking （劫持） some dinosaur eggs. To rescue Sid, they go into a mysterious underground world where they have some close encounters （遭遇） with dinosaurs and they meet a one-eyed weasel （鼬鼠） named Buck.
