摘要
本文介绍了VAX-PC构成的异构DECnet网络中实施C/S数据处理系统的一般方法,并以一个C/S方式核聚变实验数据处理系统为例,详细说明了VAX-PC在DECnet环境下的C/S系统的实现方法。通过对VAX集中式处理系统与C/S方式处理系统的性能评价说明了C/S方式的优越性。
Because of the rapid development of PC and LAN technology, C/S data processing paradigm became the mainstream of distributed processing. For the family of VAX which running VMS operating system, in order to implement a C/S system, we must solve some problems and take efforts to implement inter process communication between VAX and PC. In this article, we introduce how to construct a C/S system in the VAX PC heterogeneous environment. We also describe the practical method by an example. At last, the result of performance evaluation and comparison of the centralized processing and C/S system confirmed that the latter has some advantages.
