Scientific development:key to meet challenges

阐述了中国煤炭工业建国以来尤其是改革开放30年来取得的伟大成就和面临的诸多严峻挑战,认为国际金融危机对中国煤炭工业既是挑战又是机遇,应该继续坚持科学发展,推进行业结构调整。

This paper devotes itself to the presentation of the great achievements realized in China＇s coal industry since the founding of the People＇s Republic sixty years ago and since the beginning of the implementation of the open and reforms policy as well as the challenges that have been encountered in the is sector during the past thirty years. According to the author, the current global financial crisis presents bad challenges as well as hopeful opportunities to China＇s coal industry. While sticking to economic development based upon scientific outlook, efforts are to be concentrated on industrial restructuring of this sector.
