The world＇s largest beverage maker, Coca-Cola, plans to build a non-carbonated beverages manufacturing plant in the Sanshui district of Foshan, Guangdong Province. The beverage giant will set up two manufacturing lines to produce fruit juice and tea, with an initial investment of RMB 600 million （USD 87.8 million）, commencing in September. The facility will be the company＇s largest non-carbonated beverages manufacturing base on the Chinese mainland,with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons. Coca-Cola has also opened two bottling factories in Xinjiang and Jiangxi provinces, while its rival PepsiCo has announced planned investments of RMB 1 billion in a new beverage plant in the city of Chongqing and five new bottling factories across China over the next two years.
