An Empirical Study on Vocabulary Acquisition Strategy of Non-English Major

学生最常用的并且认为最有帮助的词汇习得策略是根据上下文猜测词义。本文通过调查和分析中国非英语专业大学生英语词汇习得策略的使用情况及其关于英语词汇习得策略的看法,提出了大学英语词汇教学中应注意的四个因素。

Through investigation and analysis on the view and the use of English vocabulary acquisition strategy of Chinese non - English majors, this article finds that the most common and most helpful vocabulary acquisition strategy is based on the context to speculate meaning strategy and repeated strategy. Accordingly, it is proposed that we should pay attention to four factors in English vocabulary teaching in college.
