This paper offers insights into the objectives and curriculum arrangement of ＂Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages＂ （MTCSOL）. It holds that the ＂Fostering Proposal＂ of MTCSOL sets a reasonable goal and the curriculum is feasible, and therefore is a professional and outstanding proposal. The paper chiefly discusses the rationales of MTCSOL and advocates that both knowledge and method be given due attention when the teaching conception being implemented, the feasibility be considered when knowledge and theory being imparted and the real situation of Chinese teaching in other countries be directed at when the teaching method and training techniques being passed on.
