The model of interpreting the oriental society by the Soviet Union scholars is one of the two main models of domestic and foreign scholars＇ interpreting the ethnological notebooks of Karl Marx. With a fundamental theoretical shortcoming, this interpreting model seriously misinterprets the theme and historical status of the ethnological notebooks of Karl Marx. Making a critical survey is conducive to valuing accurately the theoretical value and historical status of the ethnological notebooks of Karl Marx and restores the true features of Marxism.
