Mr. Xu Zhongshu toward the New History

中国新史学从上世纪初开始出现,已走过了百余年的发展历程。在新史学的发展过程中,我们可以看到一大批学者在其中成长起来;而他们的成长又为新史学的进一步持续发展提供了新生力量。徐中舒先生就是这样一位受赐于新史学又贡献于新史学的学者。

Chinese new history showed up at the beginning of last century, which has lasted for more than a hundred years. During its developing process, a lot of scholars grew up. Meanwhile, their growth provided fresh force to the continuous improvement of the new history. Mr. Xu Zhongshu was such a scholar, who benefited from and also contributed to the new history.
