The connotation of auspicious fish pattern in Chinese traditional apparel

研究我国少数民族民间服饰中以"鱼"纹和"鱼饰"为装饰的服饰文化价值.探讨中国民族服饰中的"鱼"纹样的吉祥寓意以及"鱼"文化在服饰中的象征意义.指出服饰中喜闻乐见的"鱼"所蕴含的生殖崇拜特征,祖灵崇拜"以衣寓裔"、认祖归宗的寻根意识和长辈们望子成龙的祈盼和祝福.是人们对平安康健、丰衣足食、安居乐业的美好生活的心理追求的外在表现.

The cultural values of apparel in Chinese minorities decorated with fish patterns and fish shapes were discussed. The fish patterns＇auspicious implication and symbolization were explained. The research showed that the pepular fish patterns were endowed deeply with Chinese people＇procreation and ancestor worship connotation, which expressed greatly Chinese people＇ s strong recalling toward their forefathers, and their expecting for their offspring＇s honor, wealth and status in their future lives. Fish patterns and accessories are the exhibition of people＇s inner heart and preying for their happier lives with safe, health, luck, rich, opulence and offspring＇s prosperity.
