From Plan for Industrial University to Act for Land-Grant College——on Turner's Influence upon Morrill

本文从昆廷.斯金纳的影响理论出发,从影响的可能性与现实性两个纬度,考察了在1862年赠地学院法案的起源问题上特纳对莫雷尔的影响。莫雷尔是了解特纳的产业大学计划的,并且从赠地学院议案的捐赠目的、捐赠形式与资金分配方式这三个方面考察,莫雷尔也是接受了特纳的影响的。因此,特纳的产业大学计划是1862年赠地学院法案的真正起源。

On the basis of influence theory of Quentin Skinner, this paper reviews the influences that Turner had on Morrill concerning the origin of Act of land - Grant College. It considers that Morrill knew Turner＇ s Plan for Industrial University, received influences from Tumer＇ s Plan for Industrial University by the analysis of the donating aims and ways, and funds distribution methods. It then argues that the real origin of 1862 Act of Land - Grant College is Turner＇ s Plan for Industrial University.
