This article introduces the principle and renovation of lower water coke quenching technique. The technique was improved according to the practical situation of the Coking Plant of Baotou Steel. After the renovation, the prospective effectiveness realizes,the moisture content in coke is effectively reduced,the hardness of coke is improved. Otherwise,this technique is easy to be operated ,and the environment pollution is reduced ,the using effectiveness and social -economic resuits are good.
