中国原始宗教研究对象是中国原始社会的宗教现象，而中国原始社会的状况极其特殊、复杂。它的特点包括：历史延续的复杂性、类型的丰富性、演变方式的多样性等。本文针对这种情况提出了如何建立中国原始宗教研究分期体系，探讨中国原始宗教的类型、发展与变迁方面的思考。

The research object of China＇s primitive religions is the religious phenomena of Chinese primitive society. The structural conditions of Chinese primitive societies were very special and complicated. Firstly, there were a long continued existence of undeveloped communities in different Chinese dynasties; Secondly, There are 56 nationalities in China, each nationality had their own particular primeval culture styles; Finally, each minority＇s primitive culture had its own change pattern were multiple. Considering the above situation, the writer gives more thinking and discussion on how to establish a research system about China＇s Ancient Beliefs by historical stages and how to probe into the genres and development patterns of Chinese primitive religions.
