Capsaicins and its extraction methods from capsicum frutescens and application in antifouling and rodent resistance coatings were described.The coatings,which contain the capsaicins are safe,were applied to the surface of metals,plastics,woods and the other materials to prevent the marine organism attachment and the damages from rats.
