英国是世界上第一个工业化国家,历来以技术先进以及科技的领先著称。整个设计的基本概念是:作为"礼物"的主展馆放置在刚刚被打开的"包装纸"里面。作为礼物,不仅仅是展馆,还是一座可以随着黄浦江吹来的微风徐徐摆动的"活"的建筑。
The gift from Great Britain to the Expo 2010 Shanghai is not only an exhibition hall but an oasis with marvels for visitors all over the world. The idea of the design is that, the pavilion sits on a unfolded concrete base, like a gift presents from wrapping. The acrylic tubes on the skin can swing gently in the breeze from the river.
