摘要
苗族是一个稻作民族,与稻作有关的节日很多,其中有一个叫"卯"文化节,南方的许多少数民族也有这个节日,对"卯"作了种种解释,本文试图从苗族西支系的图腾"猫"对稻卯文化进行探讨。
The Miao people feed on paddy rice. Mao is a cultural festival for them. In fact, many southern minority people celebrate Mao （the 4th Chinese earthly branch, symbolized by rabbit）. This paper holds that Mao means ＂cat＂ in the Xizhi Branch Miao＇s totem.
