The Proactive Function of Schema and the Exact Expression of the Painting

图式对绘画发展的现实作用基本体现为两极:一是被奉为绝对的规范,二是被视为束缚而遭极力摆脱。对于绘画的发展而言,不断地重提图式仍是必要的。图式可以帮助我们看到真实,但只有通过感受真实并与既有的概念综合所得的图式才真正利于画家表达真实。

The basic function of the schema plays two poles in the development of painting： first, it is regarded as the absolute norms ; second, it is considered as the fetter which should be broken off. It is necessary to resume the schema in the development of painting. The schema can help us experience the reality, but only the schema which combines the reality and concept can help the artists express the reality.
