The prediction and analysis for public transit passenger volume is very important. The gray theory is chosen to analyze and predict the public transit passenger volume of Beijing city through comparing the methods widely used today. It is a practical applying method for public transit passenger volume prediction and analysis that establishing gray prediction model based on gray theory to predict the public transit passenger volume, and establishing gray association model to analyze public transit passenger volume from three different aspects, namely supply, demand and competitiveness.
