摘要
本研究运用问卷调查与访谈相结合的方法,以大学入学新生为对象研究了高低水平学生英语学习策略的差异。研究结果显示:(1)就均值而言,高水平组在总体策略层面和六类策略的使用频率都高于低水平组。(2)T检验结果表明,除补偿策略外,两组学生在认知策略、元认知策略、记忆策略、社交策略和情感策略的使用差异达到统计上的显著差异性。(3)在单项策略层面上,卡方经验结果显示22个项目存在显著的组间差异,低水平组错误的学习信念阻碍了学习策略的有效运用。最后就大学阶段的英语策略教学提出了几点建议。
The article reports on an investigation of strategic differences in English learning between high-proficiency group and low-proficiency one among university entrants.The results show that: 1) In terms of frequency mean,high-proficiency group surpasses its counterpart at overall level and at category level.2) The t-test yields significant differences in cognitive strategies,meta-cognitive strategies,memory strategies,social strategies and affective strategies,all favoring high-proficiency group.3)The chi-square test also displays significant strategic differences with 22 individual items between the two groups,all disliked by low-proficiency group,the reason being their incorrect beliefs on English learning.Several suggestions are offered in the end on English strategy training at college level,especially with university entrants.
