摘要
本文提出了一种基于DCT变换的双VQ静止图像压缩算法,实验表明此算法不仅克服了利用单纯DCT和单纯VQ压缩图像带来的方块效应,而且在高压缩比的情况下具有高的图像质量。
In this paper, one kind of still picture compression algorithm using two vector quantization based on DCT has been proposed. It was shown by experments that some disadvantage brought by using DCT or VQ only, shch as block effect, has been overcome, as well as high image quality has been obtained under the condi tion of high compression ratio by using our new algorithm.
