The paper analyzes the features of editing and main contents of a three-volume book, Critical Essays in Planning Theory, edited by Jean Hillier and Patsy Healey and published in 2008 by Ashgate. Some contrasts are made between this and other three planning theory proceedings or contributions which were published since the 1980s, and an appraisal is given.
