摘要
杜威认为,传统哲学由于篡改了经验概念和经验方法的原始意义,导致哲学与生活世界疏离并使许多人对哲学失去了信心。要重建哲学的尊严,必须重新诠释经验概念和经验方法。杜威大大拓展了经验概念的含义,将经验与自然、生活、历史等内容有机地统一在一起。杜威认为唯一能揭示这种统一性的经验法是建立在原始经验基础上的,它给人提供的是一条不断探究的途径。
Dewey thought that traditional philosophy distorted the original meaning of the concept and method of experience which led to philosophy＇s becoming estranged from living world and many people lost heart to it. rlhe concept and method of experience must be reexplained in order to rebuild philosophical dignity. Dewey largely expanded the innotation of the concept of experience by organically integrating experience with nature, life, histroy and so on. Dewey thought empirical method which can only reveal this integration was based on primitive experience and it offered men a way of continual inquiry.
