Orlando : A Biography is a most imaginative work by Virginia Woolf a British modernist authoress, featuring its trans-gender and stylistic biography, which however does not mean all its values of research. The novel bears her outlook of truth. In Woolf' s view, life and the world were full of presentational fragments due to the problems of nature and mankind, so it was of importance to seek the immutable truth that could unify all the representations, She also pointed out that memory, deduction, generalization and imagination such thinking abilities were approaches to truth acquisition. Writers could create works by these abilities, reasonably becoming guiders to lead human society to truth.
